Blessed With Friends

It’s been another full day of travel for me… coming home from speaking at an event out of state, and diving back into the full swing of family.  It was a great trip, and it’s great to be back home.

So, I’ll keep this post short and sweet…

I just really appreciate my friends.  I appreciate those who have stuck with me for years.  And I appreciate those who have most recently decided to take a chance on being my friend.

I want to be a good friend.  I hope to be a good friend.  I plan to be a good friend.  But I don’t always deliver.  And so I appreciate those who don’t give up on me… those who cut me some slack… those who take the Apostle Paul’s advice and let love cause them to overlook offenses.

And I am committed to becoming a better friend because of those great friends who inspire me by their commitment.

So, for all of those reading this who realize you’ve dropped the ball a few times in the area of being a terrific friend, don’t give up.  Keep pressing hard to make those friendships tight… because one day someone will appreciate that you never gave up on them!
